Managing Director

Matthew has more than 28 years’ industry experience, working nationally and internationally on major service contracts for premium office complexes, and facilities across the retail, healthcare, venue and eventsectors. Matthew is responsible for the overall strategy, management and performance of Cirka. He is actively involved with the day to day operations of the business with a focus on new business transition, maintaining strong client satisfaction and retention and ensuring overall contract fulfilment.

Barry has had extensive management and Board of Director experience in Australia over the past 40 years. He was previously the Managing Partner of Minter Ellison lawyers and Andersen Consulting and Managing Director of ANL (shipping) along with a substantial portfolio of Public and Private company Directorships including SPC, Vision Systems and William Buck. He is currently Chairman of Moore Stephens Accountants. Barry brings his comprehensive skills in Strategic Planning, Finance and Corporate Governance to the Cirka Board.

Dale has more than 20 years’ experience in financial and operational management across a broad range of industries including Waste Management, Technology, Legal, Sporting events and ticketing. Dale’s primary focus with Cirka is on the financial accountability of the business, managing and improving our core financial processes and providing additional strategic support.

Rebecca has worked with Cirka since 2009. She has extensive experience in sales and marketing with a leading multi-national firm in the FMCG industry. Rebecca is responsible for setting our marketing and communications strategy and overseeing our market analysis and branding requirements. As a member of the Board she is involved with setting the strategic direction of the business.

Kate has over 16 years of HR experience in Australia and the UK, most recently being the People and Culture Business Partner at M&OP.  She  is responsible for managing all of our HR functions, including staff inductions, training,  ensuring the health and safety of the workforce and maintaining employee documentation.  She also oversees performance management, personal development, staff recognition, communication with union bodies and compliance to regulatory concerns.  Kate will oversee the HR team including the QSE Co-Ordinator.

Shamiso oversees the operation of the Accounts Department with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll functions.  Shamiso has over 9 years’ experience in accounting roles including most recently as the Financial Accountant for the Wesley Mission & Uniting Vic / Tas.

Yesha joined Cirka in 2016 as our Accounts Officer, managing accounts payable. Yesha has 7 years' of experience in a range of finance roles both as a Corporate and Site Accountant, and also has a good understanding of Operations, having worked at the Australian Open several years in a row.

Nathalie joined our Melbourne office in 2015 in the role of HR / Office Co-ordinator. She provides support to our HR Manager in a variety of areas including recruitment, induction and training. Nathalie has brought valuable experience from her previous roles in recruitment and hotel operations and management.

Melissa has over 16 years of experience in finance across a broad range of industries including, Travel, Corporate Services and Manufacturing. Melissa is responsible for process improvement within the finance department, monthly reporting, payroll and assisting with operational analysis.

Natalia joined Cirka in 2010 and has held various operational roles at key Melbourne buildings while completing her Masters in Accounting and Finance. She moved to her current Accounts Assistant role in 2015 and is responsible for payroll and contributes to various other functions in the finance department including accounts payable and receivable.

Roger has a wealth of management experience spanning over 14 years in the industry, working with some of the most well known clients on a local and international level, delivering the insourcing and outsourcing of cleaning services in the facilities industry. Roger is responsible for the direction, growth and management of the commercial arm of the Cirka business within Victoria, ensuring that our services are delivered in accordance with our management systems and client expectations.

Shane started with our Melbourne office in 2015  as the Operations Manager of Rialto and moved to the role of Regional Manager in 2017.  Shane has worked in the cleaning industry for many years, most recently as a Facilities Manager and a Victorian Operations Manager managing contracts including Etihad Stadium and AAMI Park.

Marc is Cirka's Regional Manager for Melbourne's CBD. He has extensive experience in the events and venues industry supporting the delivery of events including the Australian Open, the Australian Grand Prix and the 2015 Pacific Games. More recently Marc held a position within Facilities Management where he was recognised for his consistent high level of delivery.

Helen has been in the cleaning industry for 25 years, working with one of our key venue contracts in Melbourne for that time. Her hard work and tenure has resulted in her becoming a key member within the facilities team. Helen is also responsible for the management of another of our premium building contracts. Her responsibilities in managing these buildings include, organising and carrying out special cleans, supervising daily and periodical cleans, use and maintenance of cleaning equipment, managing cleaning supplies for various sites, adhering to OH&S requirements and facilitating and attending site cleaning inspections.

Geraldine started with Cirka in 2015 and is the Customer Service Manager of one of Melbourne's busiest premium CBD buildings. Geraldine has worked in the cleaning industry for many years and her experience includes managing the cleaning teams for Coles Services as well as RMIT University.

Isabel has 11 years’ experience in the cleaning industry and is currently responsible for overseeing the cleaning contract at one of our key premium buildings. She has worked in commercial offices, education and health care settings including Rialto Towers and Latrobe University. Her responsibilities include organising and carrying out special cleans, daily supervision, periodical cleans, maintenance of cleaning equipment, re-ordering and distributing cleaning supplies.

Thiago joined Cirka in 2011 and is currently the Customer Service Manager of one of our premium Melbourne CBD building contracts. His role entails liaising with clients, daily supervision of the building, management and training of staff and ensuring periodical services are completed. Previously Thiago worked for the Brazilian Government (Ministry of Sports) in a legal role, helping Brazil to win the bid for the 2016 Olympic Games.

Harry’s responsibilities are to ensure excellence in service delivery in the CBD, including programmed daily cleaning, periodical cleaning and to maintain key recycling systems.

Mark has significant experience in senior operations roles having worked for more than 13 years with a major multi-national food service chain and most recently in a sales and operations role within a retail environment.   Mark has an extensive skill set which includes, customer relationship and health & safety management, business reporting, training and operational compliance. As a CSM, Mark will be responsible for both CBD and metropolitan sites and growing our commercial business within the Adelaide.

Peter is Cirka's General Manager of Venues & Events, managing our cleaning business at Melbourne & Olympic Park including the Australian Open Tennis, the MotoGP, the Arts Centre and ACMI. Peter has over 20 years' experience in Event Management, working on significant sporting events including: Sydney Olympics, Salt Lake City Winter Olympics,  Australian Grand Prix, Adelaide Clipsal, US Open Tennis, Wimbledon and NASCAR including Talladega.

Dave is Cirka's Precinct Manager for Melbourne & Olympic Parks encompassing Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, Hisense Arena, The National Tennis Centre and AAMI Stadium. With 9 years experience in the venue and event cleaning industry in Australia and the UK, Dave has worked on major projects including the London 2012 Olympics and the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

Adrian started with Cirka in 2016 as the Event Manager for the inaugural Australian Open Festival at Birrarung Marr, before moving to AAMI Park as the Venue Manager. Adrian has more than 8 years' experience working at a number of premier venues and events such as the Spring Racing Carnival, AFL Grand Finals, Ashes Cricket Series, Masters and Australian Open golf tournaments, Australian F1 Grand Prix, Australian Open Tennis and the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

Grieg joined the Cirka Venues and Events team in 2017 in a Senior Operations Manager role.  Greig has 9 years’ experience of venue and event cleaning services delivery in Australia, the UK and USA.  He has held senior operational roles with specialist event cleaning companies, leading teams at international sporting events including, IAAF World Athletics Championship, Australian F1 Grand Prix, Australian MotoGP, London Olympic Games and Royal Melbourne Show.
