Lady Lamington Building

Cirka is both delighted and proud to have commenced our new contract providing cleaning services at Unilodge Herston in Brisbane. This extends our partnership with both Australian Unity and Unilodge and we look forward to playing our part in the presentation and maintenance of facilities within the student accommodation and the new Heritage Precinct.

The accommodation is within the historic and elegant building of the Lady Lamington which was built between 1896 and 1931 and originally used for the nursing staff who worked at the Brisbane General Hospital, with the last nurses moving out of the building in 1993. The building was named after Lady Lamington, the wife of Lord Lamington who was the governor of Queensland at the time.

Well done to Scoot Booth, our new State Manager for Queensland on the successful mobilisation of the contract, in addition to Area Supervisor Rafael Pavoa who played a key role in the transition.
